As your therapist...

I am a licensed therapist dedicated to supporting children, teens, and young adults who may be struggling to feel like themselves and who are seeking meaningful personal growth. I view therapy as a collaborative process grounded in trust, safety, and mutual respect. I believe that every individual already holds the inner strengths and skills needed to overcome adversity. My role is to help uncover and nurture those abilities, guiding you toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and emotional well-being.

For Children (Ages 4–12):

I believe that play is essential for healthy development and is one of the most powerful ways children communicate and heal. Through play, children can process difficult emotions, build self-awareness, strengthen coping skills, and connect with their inner resilience. When a child feels truly seen, understood, and accepted, meaningful growth can take place.

My foundational approach is Child-Centered Play Therapy, which uses a child's natural language of play. I also integrate Synergetic Play Therapy, Expressive Arts, Family Systems, Strengths-Based approaches, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy based on each child's unique needs.

For Teens and Young Adults:

I strive to create a warm, safe environment where teens and young adults feel comfortable being open, honest, and authentic. I often reflect on Carl Rogers' words: "The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." I believe meaningful growth happens when people feel genuinely seen and valued.

Our work together may include traditional talk therapy, expressive arts, or other approaches that best fit your personality and goals. My approach is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and rooted in the belief that your unique experiences and strengths can become powerful tools for overcoming life's challenges.

For Parents:

I believe lasting change in a child's behavior begins with the relationship between the child and their caregivers. My goal is to help parents understand the "why" behind their child's behaviors while developing tools rooted in co-regulation, empathy, and neuroscience. By strengthening emotional awareness and connection, we can create a foundation for secure attachment, healthier behaviors, and long-term emotional resilience.

I have more than 10 years of experience working with children, teens, adults, and families in private practice, nonprofit agencies, hospice care, an autism research center, acute inpatient behavioral health, and residential behavioral health settings. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Georgia.

Outside of the office:

I enjoy spending time with my husband, son, and daughter, taking walks with my yellow lab, playing tennis, and cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs.
